Dr. Souganyadevi Vijayan has obtained her MD in Psychiatry from Pondicherry University and is a Gold Medallist from the University. She has five years of clinical experience in psychiatry following her post-graduation and specializes in child and adolescent psychiatry, neuropsychiatry, and psychotic disorders. Known for her compassionate and empathetic approach, she is dedicated to understanding and supporting her clients’ mental health needs with a focus on holistic, evidence-based care.In addition to her clinical work, she is actively involved in teaching undergraduate and postgraduate students. And has delivered numerous public awareness talks at various gatherings and on social media platforms, emphasizing her commitment to mental health advocacy. A passionate researcher, she has published 10 articles in reputed journals, with 4 more currently in print, and is working on 5 ongoing research projects. She is also mentoring 6 postgraduate and 2 undergraduate students in their research pursuits, contributing meaningfully to both academic and clinical psychiatry.
