Dr. Iyshwarya holds an MD in Psychiatry from Pondicherry University (2018) and a Diploma in Psychiatry from Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara University (2014). She has 13 years of experience in the field of psychiatry and is currently practicing in Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu.

She is trained in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry and Addiction Medicine from NIMHANS, and in Geriatric Psychiatry from LGBRIMH, Tezpur. Over the past 11 years, she has been practicing General Hospital Psychiatry and Consultation Liaison Psychiatry. Her areas of expertise include general adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, substance misuse psychiatry, and gender identity psychiatry, with a special interest in LGBTQ+ mental health.

A strong advocate for mental health and wellness, she considers it her responsibility to raise awareness within the general community as well as the medical fraternity.
